Mainframe Computer has been designed for throughput [1] as soon as possible. Throughput is a performance measuring system which is measured by Mb/s. Mainframe computer can process date faster than any server or any kind of micro computer but less fast than super computer. Major use for mainframe computer is transition processing system (TPS) [2].

There are two kind of processor in a mainframe computer. One is main processor and another one is known as SAP (system assistant processor) Sap is only use to transmit data. SAP is not use to process data main processor do that.  A main frame computer has 160 plus I/O and 100 plus processor which are 7 to 10 cores. Mainframe use to real time data process and make business more stable than another micro computer and server.

1.      Throughput and Latency:

Throughput and Latency is performance measuring system. Suppose you are accessing a server through your local device. Data processing time between your local device and server is known as Latency. Latency is measured by time. Now consider you are using an application on that server. That application transfer data to you. The measure of those data is known as throughput.  Mb/s is throughput unit. At the end we can say that if Latency increase performance is decrease but if throughput increase performance also increase.

2.      Transition processing system

Transition processing system is one kind of system that store data, retrieve and process in a real time. It also known as real time processing. Example Atm booth, Online banking, Money transfer etc. Transition processing system has 3 characteristics.

·        Rapid transition

Rapid transition means it can exchange data rapidly which give you real time experience. If you have a shop and your system have all data of your product then you just need to type the product name. you don’t need to set its quantity or value. Because you have already insert it.

·        Reliability

When you are selling something you already set its default value. So, you don’t need to input its value every time you will sell the product.

·        Control Processing

It means you have control over processing system.
